Important Community Meeting
Community Meeting Announcement

Hello Chochmat Friends

As you might know, our community is undergoing changes. These changes hold tremendous potential for our growth and deepening as a community, but have brought confusion for many and been painful for some. To this end, there will be a community meeting held on Sunday, March 16, 1-3p @ Chochmat HaLev.

Three members of the Chochmat community (Jonah Sharkey, Sue Rubin and Moira Belikoff) have spear-headed a “clearing and hearing” process that we all hope will help each of our community members (1) express their feelings, (2) be heard and understood, and (3) gain more clarity on where our community is going - together.

Please come to this community meeting (yes, this coming Sunday), to meet with facilitator and communication educator, Mary Lambert, as she helps us to understand concerns and aspirations, and clear the air to relieve confusion. Although there will be follow up meetings, we urge you to attend this Sunday.

The reason for the tight schedule of this meeting is because we are embarking on the exciting project of selecting a spiritual leader, where the first candidate will be joining us for the weekend of March 21 – 22. (See “Spiritual Leader Candidate Weekend” in this message for more details). The idea is to relieve confusion, so we can meet our candidates with an open mind. This, however, makes our schedule for meetings quite tight.

We look forward to addressing questions at the community meeting in preparation for the next exciting phase of our precious most-loved community – Chochmat HaLev.
